Is Your Prayer Bowl Full?
June 21, 2017

I like bowls, especially bowls of cereal. Anyone out there a huge fanatic for a good bowl of unhealthy, un-organic, all gluten cereal? My wife and I can go through an entire box of Lucky Charms or Captain Crunch in one night. It’s a problem, we know, pray for us. I feel like you can learn a lot about a person by the cereal they eat. I can’t say that I’ve been able to prove that theory before…

When it comes to our spiritual life you can really tell how close we are by our lifestyle of prayer. I don’t know about you, but prayer has been the hardest habit to form in my Christian walk, but the most rewarding. It’s because of the reward of prayer that I can’t live a life without it.

Did you know that there is a bowl in Heaven designed for your Prayers?

Revelations 5:8 (NKJV)

8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

Revelations 8:1-5 (NKJV)

“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth.

Here’s what just happened. When you pray, there is an Angel in Heaven assigned with a bowl to collect your prayers. When that bowl is full he takes it to the Father, God is moved by the incense of your situation and hears your cry, then puts his power and fire on your prayer (your answer) and sends it back to earth to answer your need. PRETTY AWESOME!!

So I ask, Is Your Prayer Bowl Full? Have you given God anything to work with? So many of us stop praying because we haven’t received our answer, but God is asking us to keep praying because He has an Angel assigned to collect your prayers

What if this week you found a bowl in your house and you set it on the counter. You taught your kids the purpose of this prayer bowl. Everyday you’re praying for what’s in that bowl and adding to it as needed. Start filling up your bowl and watch God start coming back with answers.
